Dust Mite

Dust Mite

It is a fact that 86% of the dirt in your carpet is loose dirt, dead human skin, grit, soot, food particles, dust mite droppings and much more, all trapped in the fibres.

T.I.P.

(Textile Insect Pests)
I am licenced to treat carpets against pests such as pet fleas, moths, carpet beetles etc., in accordance with COPR Regulations. These regulations are overseen by the H.S.E., Local Authority Inspectors and Trading Standards Officers. This allows me to issue a T.I.P. Certificate to customers requesting this service. The certificate has my T.I.P. number on it and states that the treatment has been carried out by a properly trained person.

A Thorough Vacuum Cleaning

It is a fact that 86% of the dirt in your carpet is loose dirt, dead human skin, grit, soot, food particles, dust mite droppings and much more, all trapped in the fibres.

Far better results are achieved when as much loose dirt as possible is removed before the carpet is wet. My tool of choice is the SEBO SB36. A powerful twin motor industrial vacuum cleaner, (when ringing around for a quote ask what vacuum cleaner they use!). The SB36, with it's powerful suction and brush action, can lift carpet pile and remove deep embedded dirt that lesser machines leave behind.

Safe, Non-Toxic Carpet Pre-Spray

catAfter the carpet has been vacuumed, the cleaning agent is applied. I only use non-toxic non -hazardous, biodegradable cleaning solution, harmless to humans, animals and the environment. This leaves no sticky chemical residue in the fabric to attract dirt (data sheet available upon request).

The sprayer I use is a stainless steel industrial unit, which pumps up to a high pressure, ensuring a good deep penetration of the fibres.

I Only Use Environmentally Friendly And Non-Toxic Cleaning Solution.

I Do Not Use Strong Alkaline -Toxic Chemicals.

Agitation

After vacuuming and spraying, its time to agitate. In my view, this is every bit as important as a good vacuum. In order for the cleaning agent to work on the fibres efficiently it must penetrate each fibre. The best way to achieve this is by mechanical agitation.0n large commercial jobs The tool of my choice is the ENVIRODRY AGITATING BRUSH. On most domestic jobs, I use a large hand held brush.

Mechanical agitation lifts the carpet pile and rubs the cleaning solution deep into each carpet fibre ready for the next stage – hot water extraction.
